Such a beautiful card, Lydia. They are replaying live coverage from eight years ago on MSNBC this morning - turns out eight years is not enough time to be able to watch it without completely breaking apart. Actually I don't think any amount of time will make that possible.
I don't want to turn on the tv, the date alone is enough to remind me. The images are burned in my head. I'm from NY and at my desk is a picture of the towers my father took one day on his way to work probably 30 years ago. He was a NYC cop.
I agree with all the posts above. I will never be able to get it out of my head and how I felt that my world was falling apart even here in Utah, I gathered all my kids (5) from school and brought them home and we just spent the day together and did all the things that they wanted to. They thougth that I was a real ninny for being so upset. I know that they will remember but I a glad that they were young enough to not have it be burned in their little minds. My oldest son is now serving in the Army Reserves and is in El Salvador right now. He is in a dental unit and they are over doing their best to help the people their with dental care. I can't wait to hear all the wonderful stories about his time their when he returns home. I am so thankful for this beautiful country.
Beautiful and Perfect card! I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I heard the news unfolding on the radio. As others said, it will be burned there forever.
Every time you leave a comment, a new LOLcat is born. ALSO - don't panic if you don't see your comment right away - I moderate my comments to keep those spammers out, so your comment will show up in short order. Unless you're linking me to Russian brides or Nigerian princes.
