Totally Witchin'!!!

So I fell in love with this set the second I saw it. It reminds me of Wicked, which I saw a few years ago in Chicago. It evokes some very cool witchy friends, who shop for shoes together and probably drink appletinis. Not the sort that eat children or anything. And I'm not gonna lie - I had stockings just like that in the late 70s!!

Remember the striped leggings? What in the world were we thinking?

The image is from My Favorite Things and every single stamp in this set is, well, BEWITCHING.

I colored the image with 80 bazillion Copics - so many that I had to walk into the living room with all of them and this teeny square of paper and show the DH. He was suitably amazed.

Then, I mounted it on a piece of Tangerine Tango that I ran through the big shot with that cool bigz die. Look at the perforations it makes around the edge. Amazing.

That went onto some Kiwi Kiss Bella Rose DSP (boy it was hard to stick the side with the roses down to the inside of my card!!) and then onto Basic Black.

I'm not really sure why I don't do more vertical cards. Hmmm. Remind me!!

I stamped the witch kettle in Versamark and clear embossed it, and then added a Tangerine Tango Spider, whom I painstakingly cut out, with a Stampendous bling sticker on his badonk badonk. He's popped up with a dimensional.

To make the handle of the kettle, I just bent a piece of Wire Works green wire (the thinner gauge wire) and made a sandwich - kettle, wire, dimensional - to adhere the wire to the back of the cardstock.

And PS - if you do embossing, and you get little voids where you don't have any embossing powder, just heat emboss the first time, let the cardstock cool down, and then go back with your Versamarker over areas that didn't get embossed. Add more embossing powder, heat, and perfection!

Sometimes you have to do it a few times before a solid image is totally covered and shiny. This image is solid so I had to do it twice.

THEN - BEHOLD - SCARY SPIDERS JUMPING OUT AT YOU ON SPRINGS!!!!

How fun is THAT??? My step-grandmother's birthday is Halloween so maybe I will send her this card.

If you haven't seen the spiral technique, visit Stampin with Di - there's no way I could do this tutorial better than she did!!!

Think outside the box and surprise someone with the way the INSIDE of your card looks!!
