I actually just started with the catalog. It's beautiful. It's printed on a new, silky matte paper that is very different from the glossy pages of catalogs past. It's more like an expensive magazine or book - it's really nice.
But I won't torture you - here are some highlights. (Look away if you don't want to know)
- Cat and dog sets that are the first I've really liked - very clean silhouettes. Adorable.
- A pet sympathy set.
- Great patriotic sets.
- Beautiful floral, asian and nature sets.
- AWESOME Halloween sets - the cutest skeleton ever as well as some spooky crows!
- Customized address stamps that are amazing improvements over the old ones, as well as Princess and Pirate custom name stamps. So I could get one that says "Princess Lydia". How fitting :)
- A very fun cake/cupcake set that is so cool with a little cake stand.
- Adorable little quail or partridges with babies.
- MONSTERS! FINALLY!
- Awesome country/farm sets.
- Amazing new sizzix dies and embossing folders!
- Coated, food safe treat boxes in chocolate chip - beautiful
- Printed DSP file folders!!
- The new under $10 sets are some of my faves.
I've left a few secrets unrevealed... But it wouldn't be a sneak peek without eye candy!
So here's what I did with my pre-ordered goodies. More to come in the next few days. It's very hard not to post it all at once!!
I doubled, well, tripled up here because I couldn't resist. The pheasant is from the new Autumn Days set, which is gorgeous. The greeting is from a big greeting set called Teeny Tiny Wishes, and the pattern on the bottom is from a set called Circle Circus which is a STUNNING modern set with patterned circles. Home run!To start, I took some of the new Razzleberry Lemonade DSP - this warm orange piece really looks like Basic Grey style paper to me - it's beautiful. I stamped one of the circles from Circle Circus in the new In Color called Dusty Durango. This color is like Tangerine Tango and Riding Hood Red had a cool, hip baby. Warm and lovely. That is also the color of the new polka dot ribbon I used.
The card base is Sahara Sand, and I stamped the wheat from the Autumn Days set in Sahara Sand on that. Then I stamped the little pheasant from the same set in Dusty Durango, and did a few things to embellish it. First, I shaded it with my Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa markers. They were the perfect shades to blend with the Dusty Durango.
Then, I highlighted the design with my white gel pen - all the white you see is just tracing over the original designs in the stamp - I didn't add anything. For his eye, I used one of my Costco gel pens which was a light peach.
Then I stamped the Happy Father's Day in black.
So what do you think?? You ready to see more?
Hope you have a great day.
Have you signed up for the UBlue Cyber Club? Attended one of my Webinars?? Come on - get your geek on! :)

You got your goods already?!?!?!? Oh, right, you live in TX and you probably expedited. :-) I am on the East Coast (=7 days to get here) and I did not expedite. I shall enjoy looking at everyone else's stuff until mine arrive. Oh, well.
ReplyDeleteI did get the bundle plus all the ribbons, but I did not get this pheasant. I love what you did with him! And I cannot wait to get my hands on those In Colors, but I guess I'll have to. :-)
Oh, I can't wait!! I splurged and did the 2nd Day shipping because I don't pay any sales tax on my orders so I think that over the last year of living here in DE, I've more than saved enough on sales tax to cover an extra $20 shipping. Mine comes today!!! I'm so excited! Your card is super cute - now I'm thinking I should have gotten that set. I did get the Circle Circus stamp set.
ReplyDeleteYour card is awesome! I won't get my stuff for at least another week, so I guess I'm just gonna have to drool all over everyone else's samples. I couldn't decide if I should get any of these sets, so I'm waiting...
ReplyDeletePretty card, Lydia! Love!
ReplyDeleteBut this?
"This color is like Tangerine Tango and Riding Hood Red had a cool, hip baby."
ROFLMAO!
I just knew that as soon as I "didn't get" the set with the pheasant that I'd see something made with it that I love. What a great idea to use the white gel pen to bring out the contrast. So striking!
ReplyDeleteWay to go! A very handsome card. Will be getting mine in a few days. Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how quickly you got your new stuff!
ReplyDeleteI'm kicking myself for not ordering the ribbon, now that I've seen it on your card. I might just have to place another order.
Your pheasant is gorgeous, by the way! You always do such amazing things!
love what you did with the pheasant. it looks like a mini painting more than a stamp. it's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLydia,
ReplyDeleteI love this card, the design is so pretty and so is the Pheasant. I can't wait to see more of the new stuff. I don't have any of it yet.
Bummer. But then, I am way over here in the midwest.
Lisa A.
My goodies should be here soon!!! So excited! Ya know I didn't get that Autumn set and now I know I'm gonna have to! *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI know it's not MMLM but my word thingy says "friumb". Made me think of the mom's night out I attended last week for happy hour. We were doing a TGIF toast. Well, one of the moms had been there for quite a while already and what she said sounded a lot like "Than Dod is Friub!!!". Then she slid off her stool. Good times I tell ya. Good times.
DARN IT!!! I didn't order any of the supplies used to make this beautiful card. I have a feeling I'll be placing another order LOL
ReplyDeleteYou are such a enabler:)
Did you say robots? I hope there is something robot-related in the new catalog.
ReplyDeleteYour card is just gorgeous! I'm glad I did order the pheasant set...just can't wait to get it. BUT I didn't order the circle set, darn! I'll be placing a second order. I'm SO happy they have pens in the new In Colors...and I ordered them too. I'll be glued to your site to see what else you'll be doing with the new sets & colors.
ReplyDeletewhat a knock out. I can't wait to see the new catalog.
