Today is the day we go set up for our guests, arrange their gifts and the products our sponsors have generously donated.
Mel preps her amazing meals, and Kat makes all our prizes and giveaways look pretty.
I look forward to that time with them so much. Some of our best memories together are of prep day.
We will do lots of fun techniques over the weekend, but that is the tiniest part of the retreat magic.
I hope you can come someday!
Today's project is one we will be doing at retreat, so I thought I'd give you a taste of the kind of thing I like to do. It's a simple, but super addicting transfer technique with alcohol inks and my very Lucille Ball-esque video should be quite entertaining for you.
The stamps and dies I used are these stunning florals - this is the type of image you'll want for good results. A larger layering or silhouette image. The sentiment is from this set, and I brushed Whisper Amalgam Ink through this stencil for the background. The technique is done with Alcohol Ink on Yupo, and with Alcohol Lift Ink as well as blending solution for cleaning.
So enjoy the many mistakes I made in this video! And me laughing at myself! :)

Loveyameanitbye.
I was looking forward to attending the
ReplyDeleteretreat but the airline fare killed
the idea. Maybe next year I can
find someone who wants to drive it.
Have a good time. I'll be thinking
about you.
So pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove you!! your video is fabulous :))
ReplyDeleteSuper pretty hair today, you made me laugh so hard! This is a really neat technique and the card is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI must be in a blur this morning...left you a comment but I don't think I posted it...duh!
ReplyDeleteanyways...Such a pretty card...love your results. Your videos always make me smile, you are too kind to mention me! I really like the 'real time' video, mistakes and all because we all make them.
