I also have a video for this card (below) where I left in my bloopers for your enjoyment. :) Feel free to laugh at me. I do.
This is the first time I've had a chance to play with the Love You So bundle since I got it. It's so bold and graphic and fun. For a rare change, I went with somewhat traditional colors - Melon Mambo and black and my favorite sequins.

I wanted to share a recipe with you today too - the absolute best rum balls in the world - my grandfather's recipe.
Frank Clarke’s Rum Balls
2 boxes Nilla Wafers, crushed into crumbs. ~4.5 C crumbs
4 C chopped pecans (I did half almond half pecan this year)
5 TBS cocoa powder
¾ C corn syrup
⅓ C whiskey
½ C rum
10x powdered sugar
Combine the Nilla wafers, nuts and cocoa and mix well. Add the whiskey, rum and corn syrup and mix until doughy. Shape into small balls, roll in powdered sugar. Store overnight or for several days in airtight container. (I put them in the fridge) You will have to roll them again in powdered sugar before serving.
They are potent - don't eat rum balls right before you perform brain surgery please! But you might want to have a few before your next conference call :).
Loveyameanitbye.
Happy New Year. Love your love card, I have waited to see how this release looked before I purchased it, like I seem to with all not any product, think it's a confidence thing. The rum balls sound very dangerous but thanks to you & grandad x
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Lydia. Fun card.
ReplyDeleteI don't do Valentine cards, so I prefer to stick with Christmas cards. I love creating those all year round, especially at Christmas tune when there is so much fresh inspiration.
That’s not such a terrible botch. I was expecting something much worse. We all have done those kind of botches! The ones I hate is when everything is stuck down and you find a need to take it all apart! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity of this card. Great for guys and gals. Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year.
Love the video, bloopers and all! #keepitreal
ReplyDeleteSo as long as I have no brain surgery planned for that day, I’m good to go, right? Your card is beautiful! You are really getting me to fall in love with sequins again! They are so shiny and festive. I wonder how and why I ever fell out of love in the first place. Anyway, I love you more than sequins. #woukdanyonelikearumball?
ReplyDeleteI wish more "professional craft bloggers" would leave errors in it makes you all seem more human and not super power card makers. HAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteLove your card! And I'll have to try your not-overthinking-sequin-placement method!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute card Lydia, as for the bloopers, it just means you are like us. Well done.
ReplyDeleteLove the bloopers, as I learn how to fix them!
ReplyDeleteSO glad I am not alone thinking heart surgery is BRILLIANT only to find #DENIED
