My friend Dawn - the owner of Wplus9, is such a sweetheart on top of being a great artist.
She let me share one of her techniques for a Falliday Fest Challenge at Splitcoast, so that's the card I'm bringing you today.
It's such a fun and easy technique - I've done it many times since she showed it and I love it. There's only one non-negotiable in this technique and that is glue. Do not substitute a tape runner for glue - trust me. So here are the steps. Start with watercolor paper as a base, and glue shapes you've cut from watercolor paper to this panel. I used these leaf dies and these leaf dies. Let them dry. I ink blended Distress Oxide ink on top in Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed. Then I splattered that with water. When that was dry, I lightly rubbed gold wax across the leaf die cuts. The sentiment is from this set, and I feel like sending this card to everyone in the world.

I made this card for a very, very sweet Instagram hop benefiting a charity that helps dogs with mobility issues, organized by my friend Ricky. What a sweet thing to do. And my friend Fleurette is helping with a discount for you - just click her graphic to save 10%! Tons of prizes too. Head over to my Instagram post to take part!
If you're not already following Ricky, please do - he's such a sweet and uplifting person.
Loveyameanitbye.
