What was your favorite spooky character when you were a kid? Mine was hands down Frankenstein. Even though I didn't read the book until much later, the idea of a handmade monster was quite terrifying. The way he was all bolted together and whatnot - so creepy. Oh - speaking of creepy - they made one of my favorite podcasts - Lore - into an Amazon original! It's great - the graphics are beautiful and I love Aaron's voice.
Anyway - back to monsters - leave me your fave in the comments.
I have one that's super fun to color for you today! It's this amazing oversized Frankenstein from this month's Picket Fence Studios release. I colored it with my neon Karin markers - please see my coupon for ALL these things below! I finished it with Margarita sequins. His purple lips - muahahahhaa!
Now I can't leave you skeered - that's just not right. So I have a soothing card for your jumpy monster nerves.
It features a Distress Oxide background. After I inked that, I stamped the Leaf Mandala multiple times in water to lighten and "oxidize" the ink, turning it almost white. Then when that was dry I stamped it again in Metropolis and the lighter ink underneath made that pale grey almost glow! The greeting is a sentiment strip and I used Screwdriver Sequins.
