Socially Distanced Birthday!

Yesterday my neighbors had a socially distanced birthday party for someone in their yard. It was really sweet. They had a bubble machine, and there were all these sparkly things hanging from their trees. Everyone wore masks and stayed six feet apart. 

A friend of mine asked if seeing all that made me sad.

I said no - it makes me happy to see people being resilient. These are older neighbors than us, so I imagine the party was for a grandchild. 

Today is MY birthday, so I'm bringing you my Dare to Get Dirty challenge card. Coincidentally, my adorable little mummies are socially distanced!

I used this fabulous background die - which, btw, has a matching stencil - to create frames for these cute mummies. And LOOK - there's a roll of toilet paper - ha! Perfect 2020 card. 

The sentiment is from these sentiment strips. The background is an Oxide wipe technique background - you can see my video on that here. And after coloring the mummies with my new obsession - the alcohol fineliner tipped markers (coupon code below) - I thought the background needed some pops of color, so I used the end of a skewer and this Dina Wakely turquoise paint to spiff up the background.
