Dies are my favorite way to make wow but easy cards for the holidays, so I thought I'd show you two different looks with this gorgeous Spotted Deer Frame Die.
FIRST, the sparkle! I used Concord & 9th no-shed glitter paper for the background - I just cut it to the same size as the frame and glued the die cut from black cardstock to the glitter paper. Then I mounted that on Key Lime cardstock. I love how detailed that image is.

Then, I took a Gel Press print and cut that for a brighter, more detailed look against white cardstock. Super fun. Neither require a greeting because there's so much to look at with the little scene it creates.

ReplyDeleteI have read this post and if I could I want to suggest you some
interesting things or tips. Maybe you can write next articles referring to this article.
I desire to read even more things about it!
This is a "wow" card, Lydia! I need to get a gel plate and try your techniques! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your videos on youtube very much, and glad I was able to get to your blog. This is a super groovy die and it certainly created such stunning cards. Such different looks - one very wintery & icy, the other quite colorful. I wouldn't have thought of using the gelli print for this 2nd one, but it turned out very uniquely beautiful. TFS and for the inspiration. Also on your videos, I appreciate the clear enunciation you do, without ahs, ums, & extraneous time wasting chatter...and keeping your work in focus.
