I'm headed to Junkie Fest this week, and I have SO much to do between now and then that I feel like the earth is barely holding together. Or that it's only held together with coffee.
You guys got a peek of this card in
my last video, but it's too cute to leave off the blog in a starring role.
I used the UNstructured print from the video for a background. I cut a circle out of it with the
Circle Infinity Dies, and then glued it onto the cardbase. I stamped the crazy little chihuahua from
What the Froth into the opening.
Then I embossed the sentiment from
the same set - cracks me up - and embossed it with
white embossing powder.

See the little dendritic patterns in the squares? That's from printing with
Golden Open acrylic - so each print was actually wet when I printed additional layers. It's called "open" because it stays wet and workable longer than traditional acrylic. I really like it for gel printing.
So send coffee if you get a chance - I'm going to need it!
Loveyameanitbye.

ReplyDeleteI just recently added that fun set to my collection, thanks for the awesome inspiration!
Fantastic card! Beautiful and funny.
ReplyDeleteI love that nervous little dog but, I am confused! Mine is called Enervy (perfect name) and was sold through Katzelkraft. Whaaaat? How does that work? I am certain it is the same artist as all of the animals are the same style as other Katzelkraft stamps that I have purchased!
ReplyDeleteLots of companies purchase their artwork from the same companies. I believe Katzelkraft and Tim Holtz both purchased the "crazy birds" art from the same illustrator. Not everyone grants exclusive rights to their artwork, if that makes sense.
DeleteI squeed when I peeked him in your video and was SO SAD to not see more! This little man is SO ADORABLY UGLY 😂😂😂😂 the sentiment is PERFECTION!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait to see you at Junkie Fest!!!!! Love the saying on your card!! And the press print is amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteThat dogs expression is hilarious and what a great sentiment! Have fun at Junkie Fest, I have no idea what it is but I'm sure if you're going, it will be a blast!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Love the print as well. Sorry need all the coffee I can get...road tripping! And I totally know what you are feeling, that's what I was feeling till this morning. Good luck and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and funky card Lydia! That background is the perfect backdrop for that adorable and little guy and his cuppa joe!!!
