So many monster stamps, and so little time in the fall, I think.
I've always been a monster stamp collector. It's what drew me to my very first ever design team gig at Starving Artistamps back in the day. I love adorable, quirky, misfit monsters the most. I also that no one can accuse you of not coloring them accurately.
I got this little Bump in the Night set from Impression Obsession and I felt like the hand position on the horned monster had a lot of potential. So I stamped her, and then stamped a mask - yes - I carefully cut out that teeny hand/paw from masking paper. Then I stamped the other little monster from the set so that it looked like she was stopping the other monster from saying something. Like the other monster was going to say "WE SURRENDER" and she's all NUH UH - HUSH. BE AFRAID!!!!
Cracked me up. Then I watercolored them both with Schmincke watercolor and stamped the sentiment - just a one layer card on hot press watercolor paper.

I'm not afraid of her in her sassy little apron! I added some dots of white gel pen to make them more approachable. :)

I love the wild colors you chose -- and I don't think these creatures would really frighten my grandchildren -- they'll love them!
