Happy Monday! It's kit-ty day and I have a SUPER fun video for you today. I made my own watercolor markers out of Dandelion, Deep Ocean and Strawberry Hero Arts Liquid Watercolor for a card with the adorable June kit - a birthday themed kit with cats and dogs.
Here's the card I made with these awesome empty markers + HA Liquid watercolor. These markers come with a huge array of nib sizes and each marker comes with a spare nib!
I stuck with primary colors, because I knew I wanted a black background and a white greeting with this awesome Happy Birthday die. I love the size of this word die, since for a reason I cannot explain, I prefer portrait oriented cards! I used the kitty and balloons from the kit, and cut them with the matching dies. They're nice big stamps that are perfect for watercolor. I stamped them in Intense Black on Bristol Smooth. This is a new brand to me and it's great.
Here's what comes in the main kit. You'll see those adorable sprinkles in a shaker below.
The sparkle lacquer is super fun.
I wanted to EAT the sprinkles in the kit! That urge is so deep in your brain from childhood - so please don't eat them haha. I created a simple shaker card with the gift-bearing panda from this set and an acetate sheet with the Birthday stamp & cut, and colored the present to match the hot pink and blue sprinkles.
I had so much fun making this next one! I love scene building with masks - it's pretty much my favorite. First - I stamped the lion and balloon with this stamp set, and colored it with Graphit markers - perfect for the small details in this image (coupon code in the footer). Then I tore a piece of masking paper to create the ground, and masked off the top portion of the card. I used the new layering cupcake set to stamp the grass in the area below the mask in three colors of Hero Hues. I used this sunburst stencil with the mask portion in the center and ink blended the rays around the little lion so that he's the star of the show.
And finally, for my countdown card, I used this pawprint stencil and the Looking Glass Alignment Stencil to create the background images for my adorable kitties from the main kit. So sweet, these little kitties.
Now in my supply list - be sure and check out the pre-cut and scored slimline, mini-slimline, and of course A2 card bundles - I'm so excited to spend less time cutting and scoring!
So here are all the birthday add-ons this month. You can get them in a bundle for a discount - you can see the middle layer of that cupcake I created the grass with, but the layered cupcake is gorgeous. The sentiment set that has the dies I used is a complete sentiment builder set, which is great.

ReplyDeleteSo much to celebrate with this month's release!
ReplyDeleteI love the balloon silhouette then the colorful balloons. Wonderful effect.
ReplyDeleteLove your silhouette window die card! I especially like that you cut the "celebrate" from glitter paper. It's a terrific card and very dramatic. I also just love the panda card -- those sprinkles are fantastic. The lion card has a terrific detail that just 'makes' the card: the shadow of the lion. So smart! Love all of these. Congrats on all your entries.
