Typically, when I try a new medium, I film it. Partly because I am CONVINCED something Nobel Prize-worthy will happen (not yet, but I have hope) and I want to capture it, but mostly because I want you to see what I see when I try something for the first time.
If I practice it thirty times before you see me use it, you won't know what that first experience is like, and I want you to.
So a while back I filmed one of those first time experiences, and then SEPTEMBEROCTOBERNOVEMBERDECEMBER happened. That one terrible month each fall that derails even the most organized among us.
But I'll get back on track after Creativation, I hope. Although Creativation can be overstimulating enough to paralyze a creative person for a bit. We will see.
In the meantime, enjoy the wonders of Aqua Pigments. The name makes me remember some extremely good marketing advice Jennifer McGuire gave me once - the name of something should be simple, and also tell as much as possible about what it is. I loved this product when I saw it at Junkie Fest, because I instantly knew so much about it from the name. When I got my MBA we sat around on team projects coming up with some really terrible branding for imaginary products, and we made that lack of clarity mistake often. I wish I could remember some of the really awful product names we invented - but trust me, they were awful!
Anway - they are very vibrant liquid watercolor pigments and they are super fun, and come in a well-designed dropper bottle. They give you the feel of an old-school pharmacy - all scientific and fun. The bottles are huge, too - one fluid ounce. He also has metallics in this line in both colors and base metals.
So I set out to make sort of a blended rainbow - using two pigments per piece of watercolor paper, that I then cut out four times with this stunning graphic Love die, and pieced them together. Such a simple, bold image. The die has a coordinating stamp set, listed below.
Now speaking of mediums - my FAVORITE brush markers have a new lower price! So if you were waiting on getting the beauties I used in THIS VIDEO, now's your chance here!

I love those Aqua Pigments, I don't own any yet. His embossing powders are amazing too, they are my favorite. Very pretty card, I like inlay cards.
