I have a builder category set up in my Airtable stamp inventory, because it's something I often search for when sitting down to make a card.
I call a builder set anything where you can add elements in the set to other elements. So a branch stamp with a separate set of leaves and pinecones, like the one I used in this post.
I like them because it's like getting multiple sets, and I can make cards that don't look like anyone else's.
So I'm bringing you an adorable builder today in this little birthday set.
The main image is some critters peeking up from a horizontal line. The outline sentiments can be hung off this line, as I've done here, or used separately. Then there are scripty sentiments that go with the outline sentiments, and little hats, the crown I put on my kitty, speech bubbles and tiny sentiments that go inside them, as well as balloons. No two cards with this set will look alike, which I love.
I colored the critters with Copics, leaving white space on the balloons. I gave each critter pink cheeks and white freckles with my porous point white pen - tried and true white pen, y'all.
Another thing about builders with small images is you can use them with the Wreath Builder to make fun, round, symmetrical patterns. I took two pieces of foliage from this gorgeous sympathy set and the wreath builder and two colors of ink just slightly different from each other - Sandy Beach and Warm Glow. Then I stamped the little heart from this set in Red Hot using the wreath builder. In the center - and I love this - the sentiment. Sometimes, stuff just sucks. No need to be deep - just acknowledge the truth. I mounted that piece on kraft and then onto a white card base. PS - I used the smaller of the two wreath builder templates for this.
Want something fun? I have a code for a free pair of compact travel scissors for you below. These are always in my suitcase.

I want to call your attention to one set in this release that instantly made me think of my friend Mel - a seamstress extraordinaire.
This set is designed to go with handmade gift giving, but I've never seen one with laundry care instructions! Brilliant! Even ironing instructions. You know - if you're into that kind of thing. I will never touch another iron in my life. Unless it's for crafting, of course. But I think this would be so awesome for including tags in homemade clothes and quilts.
All month they will have little surprises like the free scissor surprise today! Click the graphic and use the code to get it free with your purchase until tomorrow! NO MINIMUM!
Hope you are enjoying this holiday and are safe from Dorian!
Loveyameanitbye.
