You are Fairy Kind

Ready for a little sneaky peeky? I AM.

This month's Hero Arts Kit is straight outta my denim-covered 3 ring binder from 6th grade! It's filled with the mushrooms, fairies and gnomes I used to doodle when I was not paying attention to my teachers and I AM HERE FOR IT!! Here's a little peek, and I'll be back TUESDAY (not Monday this month because of the holiday) - with an AWESOME process video on a fun, sparkling watercolor technique so don't miss it! See you Tuesday! If you're not a subscriber already, you can sign up here - I have a VERY exciting part in next month's kit! :)

To create the background, I ink blended Purple Galaxy and Pool Party inks, leaving a bright spot for my fairy. Then I splattered it with both water and opaque White Ink. I die cut the images, but then also masked them so that I could ink blend the edges of the die cuts to match the background - I love doing this.

More details to come! Have a great holiday weekend! See you Tuesday.

Loveyameanitbye.

  12. Glad to see I’m not the only one who likes to “hide” the white die cut edges with matching background inks! I imagine your masking technique may be easier than the way I try to do that! That said those ink colors you chose make this card stunning!
