So one of my earliest art influences was Peter Max. I had a Peter Max coloring book when I was little, and his art was EVERYWHERE for several years. I still love his bright, crazy, hopeful designs.
So card #1 today is Peter Max inspired. I used the repeating Paper Cranes background after masking the images from this gorgeous rainbow builder set, and then colored it neon pink with Karin markers. You can still get these for 15% off with my coupon code at the end of this post.
Speaking of fun graphic images, the new cat stencil is my jam! I brushed Rocky Slope Ink through it and then stamped it with my dots stamp before removing the stencil for sort of a classic halftone look. The sentiment is from the second fancy sentiments set.
How about a video? A sweet friend in my class group taught me a neat trick for faux embossing! You'll love this easy technique. This card uses the new Baker's Twine set, the Seriously Die and Inappropriate Christmas.
Here's the video - and if you don't see the video player below - click HERE for the video link.
Now for a video on the next two cards - head over to the Picket Fence Studios blog! I had so much fun creating these, and you'll see a big OOPS in the video that will help you not make a mistake with my hybrid resist technique!
