VIDEO: Happy Little Clouds

Happy time change weekend! At least our days are longer!

I have a fun video for you today on some triple blended sky backgrounds. Stenciled backgrounds are such an easy way to jumpstart a card!

For my first two cards, I cut apart a panel you'll see me make in the video. On this first card, I used the thinner strip and this beautiful, seamlessly repeating seagull background for the colored portion of the card. The Seriously layering die with oil slick holographic cardstock and the Job Well Done stamp set sentiment finish it off.

The remainder of that panel I used for another slimline card - this time with the Slimline Die Cutting system, More Fancy Sentiments with their dies and the new Mail's Here image - I stamped it in pale grey ink and did no line coloring before die cutting.

I grew up in a place that was amazing for growing flowers - and we always had spectacular lilies in our church and in our homes for Easter, so I was excited to see a large, fun to color lily set.

All the fun ocean-themed images today are super fun - I masked the horizon line and stamped part of the whale in grey ink, and the rest of the images in black from the Merpeople of the Sea set. The water is done with direct to paper.
