Who doesn't love little baby ducks? Or coffee in a cup? WEIRDOS, THAT'S WHO.
There's just something so adorable about a baby bird!
I used the super sweet little duckling bundle to stamp and cut my duckling, and then just ink blended the background with Hero Hues. The clouds are ink blended with Unicorn ink. I stamped the grass twice to make it taller, and made a little shadow for my baby duck.

I saw this great meme this past weekend - it said - "the key to eating healthy? Avoid any food that has a TV commercial." Pretty great! I am a gardener, and love growing part of my own food, so this new veggie stamp made me so happy. I stamped it in Unicorn on Pitch Black, put on a true crime podcast, and colored it with my colored pencils. I like the way the white lets you leave natural highlights! The sentiment is this die.
There is a new tulip set that has coloring stencils with it. I used JUST the stencil and Hero Hues on kraft, with just the outline stamped in unicorn. The background is my MUCH beloved script stamp.
If you've never seen an artichoke in the ground, make it your mission this spring. It's one of the most STUNNING plants you'll ever see, with an ethereal purple flower and big, structured and lovely leaves. I wanted to capture that glowy purple, so I made an alcohol ink gel print, stamped the artichoke on it, die cut it, added some shading with my colored pencils, and added cardstock strips and a tiny purple heart to focus the sentiments.
There are two fun new frame dies - I cut this one from masking paper and used it to mask two angled frames that point to my YAY die cut, and I ink blended Hero Hues over the mask and then pulled off the masks to reveal the white design. Fun way to focus on the sentiment.
Y'all have no idea how hard it was for me not to add the bee from this die set to this card, but I was super committed to my little Van Gogh-ish art gallery scene I was building. After I watercolored the die cuts, I cut this other beautiful frame out of Pitch Black, and rubbed white ink onto it with my finger to highlight the details.
It's IMPOSSIBLE to see here, but I actually created a plaster texture on the white part of the wall, by masking the bottom portion of the mini slim pre-cut card, and adding Hero Paste on the top part, smacking and lifting my palette knife to create the plaster texture. It's so cool in real life - I don't know why I insist on doing techniques that are so hard to photograph! :)
And look at this exciting news! I'll be teaching in the spring Stamp-Along, so you can sign up here! I will be using the tulip set above!
Here are all the supplies I used today - come back for a BIG giveaway! TWO of them, actually!
