Being at an event like that is like being on a diet at Thanksgiving. There are so many fun, creative things to see and yet you can't make or buy anything!
We worked long days - we actually only had about 90 minutes each to see the show floor, so we had to sort of sprint through - but we saw amazing things on that sprint!
Here are some of my favorites.
- Glitter cutting pads from Sizzix - this is a great way to remember never to cut into that bottom plate! They should be here when they are available. Gorgeous!
- Unicorn Spit - a beautiful, vibrant gel stain, non-toxic product made in the USA that you can paint wood, leather, etc. with. The leather chair they had at their booth was stunning.
- MultiPliers from Beadalon - the demo at their booth showing how much time it saved not putting down one pair of pliers and picking up another was amazing - and I'm not even a jewelry person! Can't find these online yet except here on the Beadalon site.
- I do not knit or crochet, but I squealed when I saw this zipper for knitwear!
- Tommy Art chalk paint from Imagination International - absolutely gorgeous paints.
- Terial Arts fabric stabilizer. Made in the USA - let's you sculpt fabric, and cut it without fraying. This was truly amazing, and I don't even sew - the things they did at the booth with it were incredible.
- Patent Leather paint from Deco Art
- The new Chameleon colored pencils - made in Austria. Also really liked their color toppers - so instead of the blending solution cartridge, you add another color cartridge to do pen-to-pen blends.
- The color layering Peacock and color layering Koi sets from Hero Arts. If you saw Ilina Crouse demoing from the MISTI booth, you saw these lovelies. They are in my FB album (linked below) so don't miss them.
- Mandala yarn and Shawl In A Ball yarn from Lion Brand.
- Altenew's alcohol markers, mini ink cubes and their new layering dies - especially the skyline.
- The Black & Decker cordless glue gun. (Ordered this, so I'll let you know!)
- Gina K.'s new Thermoweb designs. These were SO much fun and she did a great demo. She's a hoot if you've never seen her live. I came by and heckled her during a demo and it was absolutely a highlight of the show. If you get a chance to go by her retail store, don't miss the opportunity to hang out with her.
- Plaid's Color Shift and Super Glow paint - this one really glows inside their fairy houses - one of my favorite displays.
- Gel Press' new Petites gel plates - did you know they are the original inventors of the gel plate? Had a great class there with Sally Lynn MacDonald and learned a ton.
- In the stamps category - I loved a new company called Flora & Fauna - their site isn't functional yet, but when it is, I'll share. And as always, Two Lips cracked me UP! Concord & 9th made their CHA debut and their booth and new products are incredible as always.
The whole album of my photos is public, so you can see it here, along with some brief notes.
But MOST importantly - I was helping out my friends at My Sweet Petunia, and they introduced some AMAZING MISTI accessories at the show, which helped me bring you a little party llama today. Please note - the Delicate Details stamp I used for the background is ONLY available as a free with purchase set during Sale-A-Bration. I thought it emulated the papel picado look in the set and it was perfect for my party llama. Link to the full stamp set images below the card photo.

The first product is the Creative Corners - which are a set of five magnetized and non magnetized tools to increase the capabilities of your MISTI.
THEN, there is the most incredible bag EVER. It will come in three color schemes - pink trim with pink logo, aqua trim and black trim with a grey logo. I LOVE THIS BAG. You would not believe how much you can fit inside it! It's the ultimate craft on the go bag, with a great price - $30. That ships in March. There's a great video of the details of this bag here. I'm super excited to bring this to my class next week and show everyone.
THEN - there is the upgraded grid paper. The paper is heavier weight, so it won't crumple in the corners, and the grid is now printed on both sides. I LOVE IT.
I should be quiet and let you see the video now though, eh? So you can actually see how all these things work?
I love it when smart people invent smart things.
I hope you have an awesome weekend - I'll be at our annual Blogathon event in Austin - where I will be teaching bloggers how to stamp! :)
