Imagine me dancing around blowing a noisemaker with a lampshade on my head as the ball drops in Times Square instead of being sound asleep since 10 PM, which is my own actual New Year's Eve custom.
Exciting, I know!

Loveyameanithappynewyearbye.
Those are some incredible prizes and I would LOVE to win one! My new year's resolution for 2015 is also what I would like to learn...I have purchased a number of classes but have never had the time or the place to actually work along with them. I'm just finishing up a new studio space that includes an area for paper and fabric crafting and another area for messy work such as painting and spraying. My goal is to go back to all of the classes that I've purchased and actually follow along and paint and craft at least one night per week. My BFF has resolved to come to my house and craft along with me so we can both learn new techniques and can also spend more time together. Thanks for participating in the blog hop and for the opportunity to win.
ReplyDeleteHi Lydia, Happy New Year. What an amazing prize you are giving away, thanks for the chance to win! I have 2 pets to tell you about, 2 wonderful kitties named Simon and Sapphire. They are 2 year old siblings. Simon is an adorable orange tabby, and Sapphire is a beautiful snowshoe (Siamese with white feet and bib). They are my biggest detriment to getting my crafting projects done!
ReplyDeleteOur pet just recently had bladder surgery, because of stones. He will have to have his food changed to prevent them from returning. He can perform a dozen tricks and is extremely smart.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your generous giveaway.

ReplyDeleteCute cute card Lydia : )
ReplyDeleteNew Years Resolution - clean and organise my craft room so it's a lot easier to find everything.
oh wow what an AMAZING set of prizes! that card is adorable. I love that saying, haha. :) <3 I'll share a few things... 1. crafting tip that made life easier for me is to have a lot of card bases and pieces of cardstock for layers ready! totally helps when you have to make a lot of cards in a short period of time. 2. something I'd like to learn in 2015 is calligraphy and improve my handwriting. 3. new year's resolution is to graduate and be a licensed social worker before the summer ends! :D
ReplyDeleteRubeena - thestillroad at gmail dot com
I want to learn how to add photos to cards and highlight them, or at least the inside of them, with my traditional card making techniques. I have some nature pictures I want to incorporate and am looking for ways to feature these pictures on my cards. Perhaps a whole series of cards by kind of pictures, like birds, moose, deer, etc.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to learn how to make fused glass this year. I love your fat chicken card!!! I can think of at least 10 peopleI can send this card to right now!
ReplyDeleteMy new years resolution is to be more organized in my card making this year. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI really want to use my " virgin" Cameo. Don't have time to try it. Lovely card , great blog and delicious prize. Happy New Year dear!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year -- I love your blog. I love your cards - especially this one! You have a graphic design sense I truly admire. This year I hope to be disciplined enough to actually USE my Rosetta Stone to learn some Italian. I would like to explore collage work with my photos - I've been toying with the idea of photo transfer onto canvas with some collage work/paint. I can kinda see it in my mind... I love this card I recently pinned http://www.pinterest.com/pin/268316090274513393/. And my pups hold a special place in my heart but my Sophie is getting old and acting squirrely and I'm worried about her. And my best crafty tip is do some challenges. Doing the HYCCT challenges on SCS changed my entire creative process. I used to use someone else's work as either a jumping off point or actually copying it - not trusting my own creativity. When I started doing challenges, I didn't want to be accused of stealing someone's work, so I purposely didn't look at many other challenge responses until I posted my own. Best thing I've ever done...it really expanded my creativity. I owe you for that, Lydia. Before my first HYCCT I messaged you on SCS voicing my concern about offending someone by inadvertently copying their work and you encouraged me to not be worried about that and just go for it. One of the best things I did! Wishing you a happy 2015, friend.
ReplyDeleteI like to try ,Gelato paint, get better at stamping and colouring in and, and, and oh my god I need to win the lottery to build my own craftroom. sweet card :-) Happy crafting 2015 !
ReplyDeleteSuch a funny cute card! I love the sentiment and think it would be perfect for cards for my 5-year old nephew. I recently found a crafty tip that I love - http://www.lauradenisondesigns.com/no-more-plugged-glue-bottles/ This tip will save me $$ as my bottles won't dry out or become cracked from the pin trick.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful CAS card! Love the sentiment! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeletekissinkrafts@yahoo.com
Happy New Year! And the one thing I think I would like to try in this new year is embossing paste. I have seen many beautiful cards created with that and stencils but haven't had the chance to try it yet.
ReplyDeleteI like YOUR face! LOL Cute card!! Happy New Year, Lydia!
ReplyDeleteLydia, I love how you blog about your life as well as show your creations in the same posts. It combines two styles of blogs I love!
ReplyDeleteI have more of a New Year's intention than a resolution this year. I intend to try new techniques each week using SCS challenges as a jumping off point. Maybe I can improve my (non-existent) coloring skills! Thanks for a chance to win this great prize!
Happy New Year. What a great hop and the prizes are spectacular. Especially the Stamping' Up! My crafting tip is to keep organized. I have a special basket that I use for nothing but recycled paper. I have another basket for the papers that are big enough to keep. It makes life so much easier. Plus, it's a part of going green.
ReplyDeleteI love this bokeh tutorial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghp6-Ga4wIA&feature=youtu.be&hd=1
ReplyDeleteI'm working on organizing my craft room this weekend. That's my craft tip - an organized craft room makes for easier crafting! And it makes you want to go in there more often :)
ReplyDeletethat little chick is such a hoot! great way to rock the CAS style, too. I can never conquer that one....
ReplyDeleteI am finally getting around to taking some much needed Copic classes this year. have been scared of those things for far too long, so am hoping to overcome and at least be an adequate student this year. ;)
Happy New Year to you!
Happy New Year, Lydia! I've enjoyed learning some really good stuff from you this year and I consider myself blessed to have found you. Since I still think of myself as a beginner, I'd like to learn something that probably everyone else already knows - embossing with embossing powder and a heat gun.

ReplyDeleteOooo - add me, please! I haven't gotten anything SU for YEARS and I miss them! My New Year's resolution is to be ME in my cardmaking. Not to try to do what others will like, but just make cards that I like and reflect who I am and where I am in my journey. ~ Tricia (T. Joy on SCS)
ReplyDeleteHappy new year and thanks for the amazing giveaway!! There are lots of things I want to try this year but to prevent that you're getting comments list is getting way too long, let's tell something about my pets haha. ReplyDeleteHi, I'm new to your blog, Happy New Year! I have a 6 year old miniature Schnauzer named Zoey Joey and a 4 year old cat named Angus (my husband is a big ACDC fan).
ReplyDeleteHi Lydia. Adorable card with a very funny sentiment!! LOL!! I don't even know where to start...you provide so much inspiration to me. You're always so helpful on SCS. So, I'll share something about my pets...since they are my pride and joy....my babies!! I love talking about them, too. Teehee. I adopted both of my cats as adults. I have yet to own a pet as a baby...I would love it, but there are so many adult animals that need rescuing. Bella was my first. She was abandoned by her mother at 4 weeks. My brother foster cared her...feeding her with eye droppers, bottles, etc. He also had 2 dogs (yellow lab and Chihuahua). So, she basically thought she was a dog. I ended up adopting her when my brother's fostering term came to an end. To this day, she has a bit of "dog" in her. Kittie is my second furbaby. He was abandoned when we went through the financial crisis in 2008 with all of those home foreclosures. It truly broke my heart, but the blessing was that he was a healthy cat. He is quite loveable and is an attention-hog. LOL!! He is the first to greet me at the door when I get home. We go through the same routine each morning where he will sit on the bathroom counter and watch me get ready for work. I have always wanted a long bathroom counter to myself....lost it to the cat. BWHAAHAHAHA!! I adore my babies...they sure have trained me well. Yes, they are spoiled rotten. My hope is that they will be with me for many more years. They love to help me craft, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year

ReplyDeletegreat giveaways and card
ReplyDeletewe added a new dog to the family in 2014. she came into our lives in an unusual way. friends of ours found her wandering their neighborhood. we fostered her for 3 weeks and decided her owners weren't coming for her. Dakota is the color of the amber waves of grain of the Dakotas, and has a beautiful, calm, quiet, sweet personality.
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance to win, since i'm no longer a demonstrator!
I love the "I like your face" stamp. it's just funny and cute. I want to learn how to do everything I don't know yet in crafting. I am only three years new so I have a lot to learn.
ReplyDeleteOMGosh this is so adorable, "I like your face" too, lol. Let's see, the list.... hmmm. Very recently I have learned about the Disposable Micro Applicators. You squeeze out your favorite glue onto scrap paper and use these to dab on glue to whatever you want on your project. So much easier to use than a toothpick, and precise. They are the perfect length too. http://www.amazon.com/Eyelash-Extension-Lint-Microbrushes-Tubes/dp/B005E0WP0Y/ref=pd_rhf_pe_p_img_12. Thanks for the chance to win!!! hollysilva911@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteMy New Year's resolution is to organize my crafty stash and make more cards.
ReplyDeleteisoscia@aol.com
First of all, this blog hop is incredible! Thanks for the giveaways! 2nd - your card is adorable as usual! 3rd - Happy New Year!!!!!! And last of all, I'd like to share with you about my adorable little miniature dachshund Roxie: she is 6 years old, and thinks she's the princess of the whole world. :) She never lets my hubby out of her sight. We often call her Roo because she is constantly jumping up in the air with excitement. She can jump 3 feet high, but her legs are only 3 inches long!!! We don't know how she does it! Unfortunately, all that jumping has given her a bad back [being a doxie makes her more prone to back trouble]. She is currently on treatments for pain and inflammation, but she has shown incredible improvement! If any readers have suggestions on how to train her to stop jumping, I'd LOVE to hear them. She just gets soooo excited that she can't seem to contain it all in her tiny little body and has to jump for joy! :) When she isn't jumping, she's wagging her little tail 900-miles-an-hour, or spinning in circles like a ballerina doing pirouettes at top speed. Such a happy little doggie, she is! :) I hope this year will bring you all as much happiness as our little dog finds each day. HAPPY New Year!!!! You can find me at hippymom83 at yahoo dot com.
ReplyDeleteBear is a little yorkie who spends her day on the back of the couch. She barks whenever anybody walks by - she ignores the squirrels and other critters, they're below her notice. I'm having my craft closet remodeled - it's going to be bigger and have shelving installed. Can't wait to be more organized (hopefully). I want to get into mixed media. If there's more room in the area I should be able to spread out and try that. thanks for sharing. happy new year.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and how cute is your card.. totally love it..
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing..
Lydia, I LOVE your art!!! The fat chicken is simply adorable - I say 'I like your face' alot - that card made me smile!! I also love Stampin' Up! Have not started my Blendabilities collection yet, but you best be darn sure I am going to! I have been a SU 'collector' since 2005. I run an All-Breed dog rescue in Frankfort, IL and am on year 14....so, on top of my own personal rescue dogs (15!!!! Don't faint, I live on 80 acres!), I count hundreds and hundreds of past adopted furry babies my own as well. So many come back to their second Mama when their families go on vacation in lieu of using a chaotic boarding facility. I love what I do am so lucky to have been able to make a difference! Card making is the way I decompress, so THANK YOU for all the artistic inspiration throughout the year. May 2015 bring you much happiness and success!! Marcilcollins@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteNot sure where to leave my comment as an entry for the prizes, but I'm learning about a lot of new vendors that I did not know were out there! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
ReplyDeleteI want to be more concientious about keeping my crafting space cleaned up so that I'll be more motivated to make more cards!
Oh my, I think I'm in love with your chicken and might have to go shopping ;)
ReplyDeleteMy pet is a West Highland Terrier - we found her almost 7 years now in an animal sanctuary where she'd been rescued from a nasty puppy farm. There's a pic of her on my blog with her new Christmas toy ;) http://rubydoobydoocrafts.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/flowery-thanks.html
Thanks for the chance to win your fabulous giveaway, and Happy New Year :)
goals in 2015: to stay healthy and be happy! I have two cats and two dogs, all rescues, my life is richer because of each of them! happy new year!
ReplyDeleteOur pets are Opie and Fritz. Two mainly Maine Coon cats. I say mainly because we adopted them from the county shelter. We have had their remarkable company for nearly 10 years, and I have loved every minute of their friendship. I have been a card maker for over 25 years. I can remember when we had to use a hot plate to heat emboss and the sliding glass door to emboss over brass stencils. I LOVE all the tools that have made our life easier by their invention, such as the heat gun, cuttlebug, big shot, cricut, thinlets, embossing folders, much better stamps and way more ink colors! I have been a silent (or not so silent) stalker of you, dear Lydia, for a while. I had even hoped to meet you at the 25 year convention~ Diana Gibbs was going to introduce us!! But sadly it did not happen. I just want to take a moment to say thank you for all the creative ideas, tutorials, fun products that you have shared with your fans, as well as recipes and your wonderful wit and charm. Even if we don't always comment, know that we (your vast legion of fans) love and appreciate all the energy and love you put into every blog!! Crafty New Year to you!!
ReplyDeleteMy new year's resolution is to kick artificial sweeteners ... and I am already seriously missing my diet dr. pepper.
ReplyDeleteyour cards almost always make me giggle - I love it! This would be a fab prize - one of my resolutions this year is to mail/give more of my cards away rather than hoarding everything I make. Hope I can keep it!
ReplyDeleteI have the cutest little rescue Yorkie mix named Avery. He found his way into our lives by chance and we're not sure who rescued who anymore <3 Thanks for the chance at the fabulous giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely adorable card!! I love your style!! I want to learn how to color this year...I'm such a novice and I want to be able to color like a pro!! Thanks so much for the chance to win an awesome giveaway!! Happy New Year :)

ReplyDeleteI've just subscribed to your blog because you sound like one of those rare persons who are kooky and fun AND have unequaled card-making skills and talent. Just like me! (Kidding.) My new year's resolution is, like you, to reorganize my craft room. I know I'll be much more inspired if I can find my desktop.

ReplyDeleteI want to work with stencils and paste more. A tip when using dies save the negatives by pressing press n seal wrap against the die and it will pull out all the negative pieces and then you can put glue on them and press against your card and viola you have the negative on your card. :) Wishing you a wonderful and creative new year 2015!
ReplyDeleteLydia, I love your blog. I love how you've always got a story to tell. This isn't a card, but a recent pin of a great idea I need to try. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/294985844318674491/
ReplyDeleteHappy new year to you! You are a really special person.
lacyquilter@gmail.com
I want to learn watercolor techniques on my cards. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI've never made a shaker card, so that's tops on my list for 2015! Thanks for the amazing giveaways! I adore Stampin' Up! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteYour card is hysterical! I can't wait to copy it. I would love to learn how to use the Blendabilities (and 'other' alcohol markers) better. There are so many beautiful cards out there with those products - maybe my New Years resolution should be to have the patience to practice.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I like your varied list of things to comment about :) A non-crafting goal of mine for 2015 is to be able to do a pull-up... It doesn't sound like much, but it means a lot personally :)
ReplyDeleteI'd like to be better with my copics. Our little dog "Gizmo" a toy poodle has 10 years now but still full of life and make laugh. Thanks for this awesome prize
ReplyDeleteIn 2015 I would like to use my supplies to CASE some of the beautiful creations I see online rather than thinking I have to have the exact stamp/die/paper as shown.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this generous giveaway! My favorite things in the world are my pets, so I will tell you about them. I have two dogs, a cat, and a bird. Oscar is a german shepard mix and we call him The Big Lug. He thinks he's a lap dog and loves everyone and will gladly sit in your lap. Jonah is a beagle-pug mix and we call him The Little Bug or the Jonah Bug. He's a sweetheart and if you touch his head, you have to pet him.. HAVE to. He won't let you stop until he's ready. He loves to howl when we play the guitar, and he's very serious about his howling. Schrody is our black cat, mostly my husband's cat, she only pays attention to me if she wants me to feed her. Krypton is our African Grey parrot. He talks a lot and has quite a big vocabulary. He knows the dogs by name and talks to them and tells them what to do. He says, "hi" and "bye" when people come and go (and he gets it correct). He knows my name and tells me when it's time to go to bed.
ReplyDeletethat card is so cute and what a darling stamp!! i want to try drawing my own images/artwork in 2015... so then i need to work on my drawing skills :) Happy New year!

Love this blog hop, not just for the fab giveaways but all the new blogs I'm finding along the way. Lots of great inspiration. Thanks for sharing and the chance to win such an awesome prize.
ReplyDeleteI am most interested in perfecting my cardmaking and getting new ideas from the youtube tutorials. Love these hops. They are a great opportunity to win sample products to try in new ways. Thanks so much for the opportunity to win. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI want to learn to use stencils with paste. Have not tried this yet. Thanks for the chance to win.

Happy New Year! I just have one pet, Millie. Millie is part beagle and part dachshund. She loves to watch TV - but barks whenever she sees an animal on TV. There are a lot of commercials with pets. We are trying to break her from barking at the TV. Other than that, she's a great dog. I also have 3 grand-dogs - a lab and 2 corgies. Thanks for a chance to win a great prize. Hope you have a blessed 2015.
ReplyDeleteI loved your card so much I immediately pinned it! Adorable!!! I just got myself a set of Spectrum Noir markers so I'm looking forward to teaching myself how to use them this year. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteStinkin' cute card! It made me laugh:-) I will tell you about my puppy. She was a Christmas surprise last Christmas. Her name is Lilly and she is a miniature dachshund. She is a sweetheart and a bundle of energy. She has really helped to fill our empty nest, since our son got married this summer and our daughter went off to graduate school. Love my little Lilly! Thanks for the chance to win the awesome blog candy!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your posted card today...it made me lol. I love your humor and it makes me read every word of your posts. Now I would like to tell you about my four kitties....Sassy, Saddie, Callie and Ernie. They love their treats, which is pretty evident in the poundage that Callie and Ernie carry on them. Anyway, they have gotten so use to getting these treats just before bedtime. So as that time aproaches everynight, they start gathering in a semi- circle around me. It's so funny to see all four of them staring at me waiting for me to get up and give them their treats. We use to have a dog as well, but we had to say goodbye to Charlie just before Christmas. So thanks for the laughs and the inspiration that you give me to make me want to craft and do art.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Lydia!! Wishing you all the beset in 2015. My resolution for this year is to learn how to just relax and enjoy life. To reflect on the goodness I have in my life and to make more time to spend with my family and friends.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dana

Lydia, I like your face too!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab give away!!!
Although I use this background technique frequently, I have never used it with such impact causing the image to burst from the background. Susie really captured grace and movement with her image.

Happy New Year!!!!
Ha! What a fun card!! LOVE that sentiment. And what a generous bunch of prizes. I'm going to tell you about my pets because I'm feeling lazy. : ) I have a 15 year little dark gray cat, a huge, stripey orange 6 year old cat, a little black and gray stripey 5 month old kitten (which makes me officially a crazy cat lady), and a 7 year old black labrador. Thanks for the chance to win an awesome prize.
ReplyDeleteAwww I love your menagerie!! Thank you!
DeleteI'm planning to learn more about mixed media. Funny how time changes your mind. I remember about 15 years ago go9ng to a weekend scrapbooking retreat and seeing women using rubber stamps. I thought no way will I ever do that! LOL! I'd be ashamed to count the number of stamps I have ordered in the last month! Then for the last few years I've thought mixed media--not for ME! You get the picture...it's cheaper than therapy. Right??
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth??? I made peace with mixed media when I realized I could make it clean! :)
DeleteHappy 2015 Lydia! Very cute card. Can't give any craft tips since all the tips I know come from other people. I'll tell you about my pets. I have 3 cats, all girls. One is 16 years old (she's my grumpy cat--hisses at the other two all the time) named Twilight, the next one, Pixel, is 3 and my youngest is 2 years old-named Panda. Pixel and Panda like to play together a lot, Twilight just hisses.
ReplyDeleteHAHA! Love that you have a grumpy cat! :)
DeleteLOVE this adorable card. Lots. I am choosing to tell you about my Maggie girl. Partially because she is a fourteen year old black lab and is currently cuddling with me on the couch and trying to sleep. On my keyboard. It's adorable. LOL! I love her super duper lots!
ReplyDeleteHA! A black lab on the keyboard??? I have a tiny six pound cat that hogs the keyboard and that's enough! Sweet :) Thank you for sharing Maggie :)
DeleteLove the chance to brag on my family,,, I have a Himalayan cat named "Miss Turtle",,, a white and black cat name "Mon Amie",,, and 2 westie maltese that are Jake and Abbie ( sister and brother) .....you made an adorable card and ...I am so keeping my fingers crossed :) tyvm!
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible giveaway. Have to talk about my youngest "son", Bax--he's our 5-yr-old shih Tzu. We found him at the shelter--makes me so happy every day.
ReplyDeleteCute card. I am fairly new to the cardmaking and scrapbooking world. I started in May 2013, so I still have a lot to learn when it comes to tips and techniques. I am looking forward to trying the dryer sheet technique to make a shiny glittery look to Christmas cards. I just started playing with embossing powders. I am looking forward to finding as much play time for crafting as I can get. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, I recently found you while looking up SU cards on google. I will tell you about my pets. I have three dogs, Henry is an 8 yr old Mini Schnauzer and Gable is a 5 year old Standard Schnauzer and Luna is an 8 month old Standard Schnauzer (she'd is 8 months tomorrow). Both Luna and Gable show in conformation shows and they have a show this weekend. Wish us luck!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for you in 2015! I had a hard time choosing a favorite video, but it had to be one of Gabrielle's - http://youtu.be/UhIp8jc-BKU ( but seriously, pick any of hers and you will be inspired!)
ReplyDeleteFun card! My cat Kevi is 15 years old and as spry as ever!

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I would love to learn to use watercolor in my scrapbooking and card creations
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the chance to win such generous prizes! WOW!! My husband and I are owned by two kitties. Dusty is all grey, and he is eleven. He's slowing down considerably, and we wanted to get a cat to keep him company. I think he hates us for bringing the new cat home. Her name is Pikachu. She's all black, and came from a military home with two young children. The little boy was too rough with her and, since they were moving away, they decided not to bring her along on the move. Definitely their loss. She's a great cat... but is so rambunctious! She's about a year old and very kitten-like. I hope she mellows so she & Dusty can be buddies. :)
ReplyDeleteI loved #6- tell you about my pet. I have a miniature dachshund named Frankfurter. He is awesome! I named my blog for him- www.lifewithawienerdog.com because I think life with a wiener dog is best. Glad to see you using Stampin' Up products as well! Now I know I'm not the only one! Thanks for sharing and being so generous. More Stampin' Up goodies are always great!
ReplyDeleteYour card is a hoot and makes me smile big time!! I have 2 dogs, Lizzie and Sammie. Lizzie, aka Lou, is 14 and Sammie is 3. I forgot how much time a puppy takes! But, Sammie keeps both Lou and me feeling younger!! Happy New Year Lydia!

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!! Thanks for the chance to win goodies and for all the inspiration through the year!!
ReplyDeleteNext year I want to learn to colour with Copics better. Baby steps... that's my motto!! http://www.invisiblepinkcards.blogspot.co.uk/
Fun prizes.... I love SU! Booker is a 10 lb, 12 yr old poodle who was mine but when my parents came to live with us, he decided upstairs with them was better than downstairs with us. He and my Dad, (86) are partners in food crime. If it's to be had, they both are right in there. It keeps us busy trying to keep my Dad from feeding him GIANT pieces of whatever but in the middle of the night, the ice cream leftover on the floor is a tell tale sign they've both had enough.
ReplyDeleteLove your projects.. My new year resolution is to live a healthier lifestyle, eat more healthier & exercise, and more crafty time
ReplyDeleteFunny card ! In 2015 I want to improve my skills in watercolors.

Thanks for the chance to win.
I want to learn how to visit every spot on the hop AND read all of the comments at each place! There's a treasure trove of info here and I don't want to miss a thing! HA!!! My favorite recipe right now is Paula Deen's crock pot potato soup. YUM! Deborah S. originallittlemermaid@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI'd like to crochet better. I can do it, but pretty much just straight lines, LOL. I also have a very unique pet - a prairie dog! For reals! We got him in NY when we lived near Buffalo. He lives with us in TN now and is super sweet. Our 2 cats don't really pay him too much attention. He lives in a cage with shredded paper. He loves to have us stroke him when he's feeling lonely. When we let him out, he doesn't stay out long - he's a scared of pretty much everything. But you have to watch him when he's feeling comfortable because he will tear things up. He's adorbs! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteOne of my New Year's resolutions is to send out more of the cards I make. By the way, what is an LOL cat?
ReplyDeleteYour card is so much fun! Wish you all the best in 2015!

I really want to work on being more organized this year - in crafting, and in the rest of my life. A new house always seems like a good reason to start fresh in that area! Happy New Year!!!

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year sweet Lydia. I love that card. Mixed Media scares me but one of these days, I'm gonna play in the challenge. Here is a link to Harriet Skelly's blog of her card using a technique I want to try:http://allycatcards.blogspot.com/2015/01/you-shine.html

ReplyDeleteI want to learn how to work with texture paste this year. I think it looks so cool with stencils but I've never tried it.
ReplyDeleteWe are owned by 2 gray cats aka The Graylings. A 9 yr. old Russian Blue named Sasha and a 7 yr. old Persians named Darius. Both are a bit skittish around newcomers. Darius has been given the name "Owl" by our grandson. The first time Jack saw Darius, Jack was about 2. Darius was on our bed in the semi-dark so his eyes were shining. Jack said, "Look, Mimi, it's an owl! I said, "No, Jack, it's a kitty cat." He looked at me like I was nuts and repeated, "It's an Owl, it's an Owl." As I looked at Darius, with his cheeck tufts and coloring, he did look owl-like. He's called Darius "Owl" ever since.
Well, I have decided not to make a New Years Resolution because I can't keep them, and I would love to show you my Craft Space in the basement but it's also in progress, going very, very slow, now I have to stop on that and clean out the garage in the winter because we are getting a new garage door that is badly needed. What a bummer of a way to start 2015. Well today I'm playing. TFS
ReplyDeleteI love the little critter! I am going to buy that set to do my grandchildren's school Valentines with. It is a tradition for them to make their own Valentines with me.
ReplyDeleteI plan on trying watercoloring this year. I love the looks of watercolored cards.
Thank you for your generosity! And Happy New Year!

Hmmm....I'll tell you about my pets! We have 2 rescued kitties, Miss Jerrie and Ninja who are sweet as can be. Both had been abandoned outside, and survived at least one Winter out there....Jerrie had no front claws either. Our other "rescued" cat, Mr. Onyx, sadly went "Over the Rainbow Bridge" last January. We miss him a lot! Thank you! Such "lovelies" on this Blog Hop!God bless you and yours in 2015 and always!
ReplyDeleteWe just moved into a new house 2 weeks ago so my crafty space is non-existent so far but I hope to be able to dig out some supplies and tools from the boxes in the garage in time for Valentine cards! My resolution is to relax more and not sweat the small stuff! Happy 2015 to you!
ReplyDeleteAWK! That little chick with the sweater is too darn cute! The perfect way to start the new year! My New Years resolution is to get more organized and reduce clutter in my entire house and to donate more cards to nursing homes. I already do that but want to increase my output to add some cheer to resident's lives. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a blog, but I do want to learn how to better color with my copics this year, as well as watercolor. I love your blog.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm not remolding my room some what. I moved and I'm just getting back home. I did get shelves and a desk from Ikea. Here's the link to my blog post showing two pictures of the mess I got going on though.

Oh I know... I can tell you how my sweet Yorkie got his many name. lol You see when I first got him he was all brown and black you know a like a brownie with nuts. So what did we name him? Brownie. lol Later grey was add and my sister called him Gracie. I know that's sound like a girl name and he's a boy but he still answer to both names. Then my mom started calling him ma-man. I know well if I thought Gracie was crazy well ma-man surely is. Needless to say his fur add another color of tan and I thought he looked so handsome. And his final name became handsome. And believe it or not he answered to all four. I was amazed and thought he must like those names to answered to them all. He was almost name after the New Orlance Saints but I put that to stop. lol Anyway thanks for letting me chat here. Happy New Year!!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your style--so much fun! Okay, something I would love to learn to do in 2015 would be to learn how to make awesome watercolor cards! I see so many beautiful stamped ink and watercolor images I would love to be able to do that myself without making a big wet mess!
ReplyDeleteI would like to improve my handwriting in 2015. My printing/writing hasn't changed since grade school and it looks terrible! I'd love to win this fab prize-I can use alpha stamps instead of handwritten! janesfilms@yahoo.ca
ReplyDeleteYour card is just adorable - love the sentiment, I used to say that all the time to my kids! Now they say it to their children. I think I'd love to work on my watercolor skills and as for something new, I'd like to work with embossing paste and stencils.
