VIDEO: Aged Tin Technique + Giveaway

I've been in SUCH a vintage mood lately. And I know I've posted a LOT of embossing videos lately, but y'all have to realize that when I started stamping, the only embossing you could do was with a metal plate and a stylus! Where's my cane??

I also have not yet run out of ideas for embossing folders yet, so I'm going to keep going - that's why I'm in the embossing folder club! This month's is the one I'm showing you today

I posted the video for this technique previously, so I'll put that below, but for this one, I'm using the 5x7 black and white sheets and a sanding block.

The little piece of ephemera is from this collection, which is featured in my art journaling basics class - I'll link that preview below as well, and then I just used my favorite layering die. No stamping! It's hard to see but the top layer of the die is glitter paper.

  5. I haven't seen "magic" paper in forever! My kids loved using it to scratch on when they were small - almost 25 years ago? Love the folder "tiles" vintage look, too!

  17. Beautiful card, I love the post card attached to the card, it adds a nice touch. I've never seen the technique with the paper that you used, however I have seen paper like that before, just didn't know you could use it with embossing folders like this. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
