We got a break from the heat! AND we got rain! In typical Texas style, we got WAYYYY too much, but holy cow it's been a long time and we are grateful.
So it's the perfect time to bust out some fall stamps. I used this gorgeous layering leaf set for this first card - with the solid layer in powdered watercolor on the bottom, and gold embossing for the detail layer.
See the gold spots? I did that by just flicking clean water onto the paper after I was done with the rest, and adding gold embossing powder and heating. Yes, you can emboss with water! I taught this technique at my very first in person retreat in 2016. The sentiment is from the same set. This set does have matching dies.
I did the exact same technique with this sunflower set - it's a beautiful botanical, but it has these AWESOM modern design elements in it like this swoopy line I stamped, as well as some fun corner elements. The little heart splatter is from the same set, and I added a few white dots with a paint pen among the black parts. I also added white paint pen dots to the flower center. I cut the flower out with the matching dies.
