VIDEO: Hogs & Kisses - Simple OLO Coloring + Giveaway

I'm kind of amazed about the number of pigs in childhood favorite movies books and shows. There was Porky Pig, Charlotte's Web, Napoleon and Squealer from Animal Farm, Gub-Gub from Dr. Doolittle - one of my favorites, since I've always been an animal whisperer.

Anyway, there are few things cuter than a little piggy, so that's what I have for you today! I am going to show you some quick and easy coloring with OLO markers - no expertise needed!

To start with, I die cut the white background with this die, holding all the pieces in place with a sheet of double sided adhesive - I wanted the texture, but no holes. If you are super careful taking it off your die cutting machine, and you cut blade side up like I do, just pop the adhesive sheet on it while it's still sitting in the die, and voila! Textured, but single layer background - you can use any background die this way.

Over that, I used this collage die to create the little piggy windows. I used the hogs stamp set and matching dies to cut out the ones that I thought fit best and colored them with OLO markers (ongoing 10% discount with that link if you don't have yours yet!) and finished them with a black and a pink fine tip Graphit marker for the hooves and the cheeks, adding a bit of white gel pen to the freckles.

The sentiment is from the same set, and I just hand cut it out.

Update on the roti I made this weekend - I left two roti doughs in the fridge and they are JUST as good after chilling for a day! The recipe I posted recommends not chilling them for longer than 48 hours though. Probably because you've laminated them. I'm still so stunned at how delicious and EASY those were! I used Miyoko's vegan Oat Milk butter for the lamination. I did NOT baste them while cooking. I'm sure it's delicious if you do. I just felt like with the oil and butter in the dough and the oil in the pan that I was good :).

I hope you have a great week! Loveyameanitbye.
