For my first Dare to Get Dirty challenge at Splitcoast this year, I dedicated it to an AMAZING Design Team alumna - Cheryl Scrivens. She has had some health issues recently, and had to take some time off, and I can tell you - Splitcoast isn't the same without her!
She's so encouraging to new members, and she helps me in innumerable ways on the site. I miss her terribly. On top of everything she does for the community, she's a phenomenal artist.
So I wanted our Fan Club members to use her gallery as inspiration for our first challenge.
I can't even come close to the way she colors, so I tried to just replicate the overall
feel of her cards.
They are vibrantly colored, clean cards that are often floral. She often does a little glow around her images.

I chose
this splashy rose stamp, and just did very simple Copic coloring. I added (yes, I've been using this a lot lately)
this sentiment - I just love the fonts and size of this set.
I can't do her style justice, but it's the thought that counts right?

Cheryl is a truly loving, encouraging friend. I have known her for years and her faith will get her through these tough times. I am so glad we can offer some extra encouragement for her and return some of the love and support she has shown us over the years.

She is a remarkably talented colorist. I know she really works on getting the right colors searching the net...
