That's Right - It's STILL FALL

What's on your desk when you're done making a card?

I inevitably find little die cut images that I didn't use for one reason or another on a previous design.

Sometimes they call out to me and I have to put them on another card. Today was just such a day.

On a card you'll see below, I was going to use this little candy bucket, but I didn't have room for it. It's so cute, with its little snaggle tooth, that I had to put it on a card.  And then I had a Julie Ebersole moment. I love the way she uses small stamp images in a clean design, so I decided not to overthink my little pumpkin and let him shine in a sea of white space. The sentiment is from this set, and perfectly matches his style.

My sweet friend Kim, the owner of Paper Smooches, makes the cutest stuff. (See the video below to get to know her.) She hit my spooky funnybone with this builder set of dies that you can make ghosts and pumpkins with - the faces are so funny!

For this little guy, I took a salted watercolor background to use for the back drop. I cut the ghost out of white and the separate face die out of black. Then I taped the face die to my white ghost and cut those out, and then pieced the black eyes and mouth back in. SO cute! I used the same sentiment as above and some iridescent sequins.
She also has an autumn stencil out this month that you can build pumpkins with, but I saw something different, and I used the pumpkin parts and pieces to make the sweetest little apple everrrrr! I LOVE HIM! His face came from this stamp set. But I love that all the pieces you need are on one stencil. I used Wild Dandelion and Key Lime ink for the apple, with Life Changing Blender Brushes. I took the teeniest round brush to make a shadow under the stem, which is Dark Chocolate, and the leaf, which is Fresh Asparagus. The face is from this hilarious face builder set, and the sentiment is from this set.
This is the card I wanted to use the pumpkin on, but my little kitty is too much of a chonk to fit with four images, so I just added that sweet ghost and candy corn.

I did a poll in Stamp Junkies this week challenging people to say without peeking what order the colors are in on a piece of candy corn, because I can never remember when I go to color it - I had to look it up to color my little jazz-handed candy corn.

The background is her new Buffalo Check stencil, that I brushed Key Lime ink through. The images are colored with Copics, and for the highlight on the hat, I just lifted color with the colorless blender. The sentiment is from this set.
I think I've done more fall crafting this fall than in any other year, which makes me insanely happy.

Kim's little interlocked leaf die is so sweet - and paper piecing it is fun and easy because there aren't that many pieces. I cut the image out of the white card panel first, then cut it out four times out of aqua, yellow, key lime and orange cardstock, and then pieced it together, and used this fun, clean hello again. For whatever reason my yellow looks like Key Lime here, but not in real life.
