We all need a little Grace!!
Right? You know it's true. "Grace Girls" from Starving Artistamps are truly magnetic, and I loved this quote the second I saw it. Think about it for a sec. It's really true. You're going to see more from me with these intriguing chicks. I composed this for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge, and again, I apologize for my very "impressionistic" interpretation of her wonderful sketches. I always take the really important design elements - the two offset rectangles, and in the case of her sample, I also stole her trio. *wink*. I invariably turn these things on their side. There's a good chance I have an inner ear problem!!
This card is on Basic Black cardstock. I stamped the word "Grace" upper left in black craft ink and embossed it with Clear EP. I stamped my Grace Girl in Black craft ink and embossed her in clear. I colored her with Copic Markers and blended them with the colorless blender. Then I used a strip of one of my beloved 6x6 sheets of Basic Grey background paper. The white strip with that beautiful saying on it is actually the back of my leftover strip of Basic Grey paper. I decorated the fish on my Grace Girl with Stickles. I distressed the edges of the Sahara Sand piece she's stamped on, and then I took a paintbrush and my white ink pad and roughly painted the edges of this piece before adhering it to the card with dimensionals.
Last but not least, I used three of my new Ribbon Sliders from Stampin' Up!! (THREE - DO YOU HEAR ME?? MY HOARDERS ANONYMOUS MEETINGS ARE REALLY WORKING!! tee hee... ) on some black grosgrain ribbon. I can see that these things are going to really create a budget problem for me!!!
Hop over to Starving Artistamps and check it out. And don't forget the "I know Lydia" discount you get!!! Click here for those money saving details !!
