Crafty Rewind Series - Easy Rainbow Backgrounds

Today I'm starting a "Crafty Rewind Series" - where I'm revisiting older stamps and supplies instead of new ones!

I hear a lot of people say they want more ideas for older products, so I thought I could help with that.

Before I start - just a question about seatbelts.

I just realized last week, while constantly adjusting my seatbelt during a short trip as per usual - why, in the decades since seatbelts have become standard have we a) not acknowledged that they are in NO WAY designed for women or b) significantly altered the design? If you do not have a completely flat chest, your entire life is spent pulling the seatbelt down from your neck area.

I don't get it. There's a new iPhone every three weeks, but women can't get a comfortable and safe seat belt?

Someone needs to get on that instead of shooting themselves into space and whatnot. Just sayin.

Okay, today I'm going to do a little more of the watercolor pouring style I've done in recent posts, to create a brightly colored sky for a Halloween background!

I love the super blended look you can get with this method - it let's you use a lot of beautiful colors and blend them with nearly zero effort.

I used this layering sky scene that was released last fall on top of the background I created, stamping one layer in Key Lime Fizz Ink, and then Unicorn Ink, then I stamped the bats in black. I cut that with my Circle Infinity Dies, and embossed the sentiment. All my watercolor colors are listed below.

Here's the video! Come back for a cookie recipe!

I tried these cookies, and I had to do some mods to make them dairy-free, and that led me to find COCONUT MILK POWDER! I don't have many recipes that use powdered milk, so I was crushed when I saw this yummy-looking recipe. But Google was my friend, so off to find some I went!

Okay so HERE is a link to the original crunchy cornflake cookie recipe from one of my FAVORITE online chefs, and HERE is a link to my dairy free mods.

Hope you have a great weekend! Loveyameanitbye.

  1. You made me laugh so hard talking about Maddie, what a great helper she is. Mine just makes sure there's cat hair on every project :) This card is awesome!!
