One Die Six Ways - Video Tutorial + Giveaway

Oh y'all. 

I'm becoming obsessed with techniques that give me multiple cards. OBSESSED! And also budget stretching techniques, so today I have BOTH. 

I have a single die that I'm going to use six ways, just doing three techniques. Is that too much math? I FEEL YOU. But don't worry - there's a video. And it counts as homeschool credit for the fall. JUST SAYING. You're welcome.

Up first - BEAUTIFUL DUCT TAPE two ways! I found this gorgeous tie-dye tape and had to do my faux heat embossing technique with it (original video here). 

This border die is both a negative space die and an edge die, and it's perfect for these two examples of the faux heat embossed look. 

For this first card, I added two strips of tape side by side on a card front, and then die cut them. 

The colors really pop on black cardstock, so I used a black card base and my fave word die to finish this simple card. I know you've seen these word dies a billion times on my blog, but they are just awesome.

Then I decided to do a split negative technique with the same tape. I used just a single strip of tape on the right side of a white panel. Then I positioned the same die half on the tape and half on the untaped panel and cut it. So it created a negative space on the left that I backed with black cardstock and a positive space on the right with the pretty tape! The sentiment matches the negative space - missing you! It's from this stamp set.

Now here's a cool thing - I used a cardstock shim when die cutting that last piece just to see if I'd get a good enough impression for a direct to paper technique with Bamboo Ink - and sure enough - it worked! I also got two cards from this technique, as you'll see below! I cut the inked piece with this amazing positive/negative hello die, and then just added a few sequins.

I saved ALL the negative pieces from cutting that hello. Then I die cut a white panel with the same die, and pieced them into the openings - SQUEE! Love how the die pattern looks in the background. 

Finally, I die cut a card panel to use as a stencil with the floral die for my sixth card - but after inking that card, the stencil itself was gorgeous, so I made it into a card! The sentiment is from this set.
