I'm so Tired I Need to Sleep on Your Butt, Please

No, I mean it. I'm really tired. I'm too tired to lay my head down on my little fuzzy blanket. Your butt is here, and I'm sleeping on it.
This is what happens when you combine cold weather, a space heater and some long stretches of crafting by "the feeder" - yours truly.

There is no way that was comfortable. Do cats not get cricks in their necks like we do during bouts of extreme sleeping? Someone should figure out why and make a vitamin out of it for us! I would love to sleep on Splotchy's butt and not have a crick.

Anyway, I'm in mass production mode. I have two craft fairs in one weekend coming up. I need lots of cards. So they need to be simple. I turned to Jennifer McGuire, one of my idols, for a sweet and simple card. She always makes just punched patterned paper sooo beautiful. The cool thing about this kind of card is that every single one of us can make a card like this in two seconds with scraps and any stamp.

Stamps: Hero Arts Ink: Basic Black Paper: K&Co giant box of sale paper Accessories: Retired Heart Punch, 1.25" Square Punch

I hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Have you signed up for the UBlue Cyber Club? Attended one of my Webinars?? Come on - get your geek on! :)

  1. My dogs partake in "I'm going to sit on your butt" also. Tally was sitting in a chair that Sam wanted to sit in. So she just sat ON her until Tally moved. It took much longer than I expected. Sam is a 40 lb. beagle and has the ability to feel like 60 lb. when she wants to!

  2. so cute the card and the kitties! Now I wish that I had saved that heart punch but really not enough room to store it all.

My cat thinks that she should be on my butt when I am in bed. she also thinks that she should be on my lap while I am knitting. the funny thing is that she doesn't really play with the yarn if I tell her not too.

Have a great crafting week and here is to your success at your show.

  4. Those fuzz-balls are so adorable!

And I plan to steal your card for my OWN craft shows. Just thought you should know.

WV: caturslo. When I ask my kitty to move out of my way, she does it in her own-world time, which forces me to say to her, "cat, u r slo".

WV2: slagonit. Cat, U R so slo ... put some slagonit!

  5. I never thought I would ever see my babies head to butt, "but" yesterday, I did see Miss Petunia, Kleopatra AND Maestro all streched out on the bed butt to head...so cute. And, it has nothing to do with cold weather...I am in Florida...I do, however, have L-O-N-G stretches of crafting time. Love the splotch blogs...not as much as I loved your book, tho!!

  6. I just love your writing, Lydia! You make me laugh out loud--no, seriously!

I haven't been here for awhile, but I was reading your blog a LOT for a while--I was a quiet reader, don't think I left any comments, but I loved your stories & funny way of writing--you have such a gift!

Now, however, I have my own blog--I know how it works & love comments, so I'm leaving one for you--not a shy violet anymore! I'm also your newest follower, so I'll be back often for inspiration and giggles!

  7. OMG! I love that card so much, I am completely going to case it with my DSP scraps.

Awe, the kitties.....I needed that. Ya know, I get a little crazy if I don't get a Maddie and Splotchy fix every so often! Just thought you should know that. Thanks for sharing their cuteness with us.

    Hugs,

  12. You know how much I LOVE that "THANKS" card!! Every time I see it I just swoon.

I gotta think of some ways to work on some quick & easy cards to do like that. Of course, they probably won't be as pretty...but, I'll try. :)
