  2. I hope that you have the happiest of birthdays and with the fun blog hop in your honor it looks to be a great start.

I have to tell you about my little Sheba well she is a glitter junkie. I found this out a few months ago when I left some on the table after a camp and the next morning I found my dear kittie all sparkly and bright. Her mounth and chest were just covered and there was a trail of the sparkly stuff all the way from the dining room to her bowl in the kitchen. Well it has taken me months to get most of it cleaned up and as you know I won't ever really get it all picked up but I did it again the other night and sure enough the next day all over again.

I guess if you don't have real diamonds then you have to make them yourself and that is just what Sheba does. She really is the queen. :)

    Happy Birthday!

  3. Awwww - you share a birthday with my youngest who turned 3 today...What a special day! I've been so sad since I dropped her and her 2 older siblings off at school today. The "Lydia" bloghop has helped to cheer me up. Hope you have an extra special day.

  4. Have a wonderful birthday, Lydia!
I "discovered" you on your tv show here in Austin (which I really miss BTW) and have been impressed time and time again by your artistic talent, your sense of humor and your commentaries on life. I also live in SW Austin and often wonder if I'll bump unto you someday. I would be tickled blue. :)

  5. Hi Lydia,

Happy Birthday girl! Whether its maps to chart you way or a forest fire of candles you deserve to party hearty (oops sorry I just couldn't resis an SU reference)and celebrate another year of outrageous accomplishments and being!

Hmmm....now that you've had some party fun maybe today is the day to break the news to you I've been sitting on since your Thursday post about cats on your back....In cat culture that would generally be considered mating behavior! hee, hee, hee

Isn't it nice to know they still find you attractive??

Seriously though you're continuing a long tradition of authors everywhere who have written about a cat on their shoulder. There is even a book by that title with anecdotes from famous authors old and new(ish) including Harriet Beecher Stowe.

Love bites aside you might have to break out the spray bottle to break them of that habit but I doubt you'll have much luck if I think it's what I think it is the behavior is hardwired. I'm afraid like most girls you'll have to grin and bear it!

Hugs and blessings my dear and serious wishes for another year of growth, joy and serious merry mayhem! - Jean

BTW the WF seemed singularly appropriate - chant! Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you.....(now if I only knew the Latin Equivalent and hadn't misplaced my five note scale) - JF

  8. Hmmm... what can I say that could compare to all of the wonderful wishes and blog hop that has already been done for you? I play the piano and sing, but alas I don't know the chicken dance song to perform for you. So I will just simply have to wish you a VERY happy birthday!
