Name the Artist

I guess I'm channeling MOMA this week. This card reminds me of some other piece of modern art. Maybe Pattie can think of it!

Anyway, I'm making a set of cards for a coworkers wife and I thought this one had kind of a universal appeal. Foo if you are there, whaddaya think?

It was so amazingly easy.

Ink up the Upsy Daisy Stamp in Summer Sun. Spritz with water and stamp. Heat set because you are an impatient Virgo. Stamp it again just a little to the left in Tangerine Tango - no spritzing. Take your .20mm Sakura and outline the left edges of each flower in black. Distress edges. Stick it down. Stamp greeting from Pocket Silhouettes in black.

Now these steps are optional. AFTER CLEANING THE GREETING STAMP, SMUDGE BLACK INK ALL OVER THE CARD BASE. CUSS LIKE A SAILOR. REMOVE DAISIES CAREFULLY WITH DENTAL FLOSS, MAKING UP NEW CUSSWORDS THAT INCORPORATE ANIMALS AND POLITICAL FIGURES. Stick it on another card and resume a ladylike and dignified demeanor.

Wow - if you're not watching women's ping pong in the Olympics you are missing out - they move so fast it looks like they're speeding up the tape!!! I'm seriously feeling a little queasy watching the doubles right now. And you know you are a serious ping pong player when you're wearing a KNEE BRACE!!

  1. i had to lower my glasses from my eyes to see if it was my eyeware or my vision that was blurry! neither! this is a beauty, and simply elegant.

sorry about the smudging mishap. the dental floss is a good tip though. hadn't heard of that one before.

boys are off to boston/styx concert this evening for son's 14th birthday. an evening alone...to stamp or watch olympics? or both? i love that we're seeing snippets of less popular sports, like the badminton final yesterday. WOW--they can hit the shuttlecock at a speed of 200mph--and place it just where they want it to land on the court! i think this has been my favorite year to watch the games yet.

  4. I am eternally grateful that I found your blog...you really make me laugh as well as giving me great ideas. The dental floss is a good one...I often just end up chucking it in the bin and starting over when I have a little accident like that! I am also glad to know that I'm not the only one to make up new swear words when I have said accidents. You are totally awesome!
