AAAHHHBBBLLLAAAHHHHH!!!!

I think that's what he's saying.

I don't know what it is about Yapples that makes me want to see his little head poking out of a hole, but it's SOMETHING.

I colored him with Copics (the two blues from the previous post). The way I got him positioned is that I used my 1 3/8" circle punch and punched the card front first. Then I traced the circle onto the inside of the card and stamped him inside. I stamped him again on a scrap, colored him and punched his cute little head out with a 1 1/4" punch and popped it up with a dimensional.

Then around the outside of the hole I stuck these gorgeous sparkly blue dots from Stampendous. They add more sparkle than a rhinestone, but lay flat on your card. I was going to add a bunch of other stuff but after that I liked how punchy and bold it was so I left it just simple and kind of stark.

See what you think.

I went straight from that to collagy and messy. I was inspired by the turquoise and red in the card by Pam Carriker on page 16 of today's Stamper's Sampler. Hers is gorgeous. I wanted to use this poppy I'm addicted to from Bloomin' Beautiful though. I love it so much. I hope there are some "arty" coloring sets in the new catalog WHICH IS ONLY 8 SOCK MONKEY FILLED DAYS AWAY!!

Anyway, I brayered Soft Sky, Cool Caribbean and Sage Shadow on a white panel - it looks deeper in real life - it's a little washed out here.

Then I stamped some images from Stamp of Authenticity on it in black, and the Blossom definition in Close to Cocoa . I stamped the images from Bloomin Beautiful in Black. Then I stamped the top of the poppy again on a scrap and colored it with copics - R27 and R08 - and my colorless blender. I highlighted the stem and leaves with my white gel pen and made some little white dots in the center of the flower. I added some more of my all time favorite hoarded retired Stampin' Up! DSP - the Timeworn Collection crumpled up at the bottom and sponged with Close to Cocoa. Then I squiggled on it with my new Pentel metallic gold rollerball pen. I have the silver one too - wonderful. I highlighted the bee with it as well. I added the postage stamp and learned a painful lesson. Depending on how old they are, the adhesive side is very fragile - I guess since they've already been heated or steamed to remove them from envelopes.

So when I went to put SNAIL on it it started to tear up the paper.

The only way to do this is to pick up a glue dot with your fingernails and apply them to the back of the stamp. You have been warned! I'm glad mine wasn't ruined - the color was perfect for this card. The card base is textured Pumpkin Pie, rubbed with Close to Cocoa and squiggled on with gold.

All monopoly employees have been waterboarded and are subdued and compliant.

The new modem wouldn't make nice with my router and share its IP address and other boring details. After extensive research in nerdy chat rooms, (where I discovered - I'm not judging because we stampers do the same thing - they all have nerd p-o r-n in their autosignatures) I fixed my own problem.

What is nerd p-o r-n? Okay, pretend I'm a nerd. I'm NOT making this up.

My autosignature would look like this:

Lydia
2GB Ram
41 billion Gigahertz processor
African diamond chip with a hemi
2 17" flat panel monitors
6 hub wireless network adaptors with firewire ports

Seriously - that's what they do. I'm completely serious.

I had a dream last night that I had a tea farm. What the heck?

Happy Monday! Let the convention Countdown begin!!

T-7 & a wakeup!
