WHERE IS MY SOCK MONKEY????????

SERIOUSLY I'M GONNA NEED MY SOCKMONKEY TO GET HERE RIGHT THIS VERY INSTANT!!

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, the Stampin' Up! Catalog is about to come out - the Fall/Winter edition, and demonstrators could pre-order sets AND ONE OF THEM HAS A SOCK MONKEY AND I WANT IT RIGHT NOW!!

It shipped today so I'm hoping to get it by the end of the week (you all know how badly I need more stamps)... Anyway, I can't freaking wait. In addition to the sock monkey there are some beautiful watercoloring sets and these amazing buttons and about 8 billion other things. And did I mention that they're all DIE CUT ALREADY SO I CAN RIP THAT SOCK MONKEY OUT OF THE BOX AND START USING HIM RIGHT AWAY?? I CAN'T WAIT!!!

*sigh* - but I have to wait.

So in the meantime I did the featured stamper's challenge on SCS - this might actually be my first time at a Featured Stamper challenge.. Anyway, I was captivated by Teneale - she's from Australia and is a fellow demonstrator. The card I chose for my inspiration was this one - it's an adorable purse with Purely Pomegranate and More Mustart - gorgeous.
My photo has distorted my colors a bit, but the combo is lovely. I stamped the Riot of Petals in Craft White and embossed it with White EP. Then I took the Purely Pomegranate refill and the blender pen and colored in the petals - it's hard to see here but it really does look cool in real life. I think I might try adding crystal effects on top of it and see how that looks.
Then I stamped Fresh Cuts in mustard on the mustard cardstock - did you know that this set coordinates with the Riot of Petals? Cool. Didn't realize that till this weekend.
Then I punched some 1/4" circles in Pomegranate and added them at the bottom and some white taffeta ribbon at the top.
Anyway, thanks for the inspiration Teneale!!
Hope everyone had a great Monday!
